International Press Institute invites Penpushing Media for meeting

The International Press Institute (IPI), Nigeria Chapter has invited Penpushing Media to be part of its meeting to address updates on Post-2018 World Congress and plans for membership recruitment drive.

Penpushing reports that, the invite issued by the National Secretary of the Institute, Raheem Adedoyin dated September 15, 2020 was forwarded to the Management and Editorial Board, stating that the general meeting is scheduled to hold Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at Daily Trust Newspapers office, in Abuja

‘A General Meeting of the Nigerian Chapter of the International Press Institute ( IPI) is scheduled as follows: Date: Tuesday, October 6, 2020 Venue: Daily Trust Newspapers Head Office, Utako, Abuja Time: 11am’ the invite reads.

The statement added that agenda of the meeting include; updates on Post-2018 IPI World Congress, membership recruitment drive, change of chapter executive committee, as well as other matters.

Penpushing further reports that, the Chairman of the Institute, Kabiru Yusuf is expected to make opening remarks, while other notable journalism veterans to attend the meeting include; Chief Olusegun Osoba,(former Ogun State Governor), Felix Adenaike, Ray Ekpu, Sam Amuka and Sir Folu Olamiti

The statement said  also  to attend are Yakubu Muhammed, John Momoh, Lanre Arogundade, Richard Akinola, Musikilu Mojeed, Comfort Obi, Bonnie Iwuoha, Adeniyi Adesina, Lekan Otufodunrin and Funke Egbemode among others
