Inter Party Advisory Council endorses local government election results in ogun state

The Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) Ogun State Chapter on Sunday endorsed the local government elections which on Saturday produced the candidates of All Progressives Congress (APC) as chairmen and councillors of the twenty local government areas of the state.

Penpushing reports that the Chairman of the Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) Comrade Sanyaolu Abayomi alongside other members gave the endorsement at a press conference held at Mitros Hotel, in Abeokuta.

The body declared that it was satisfied with the outcome of the results, adding that the Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGISIEC) conducted a smooth and peaceful election, hence, need to also appreciate the commission

Penpushing further reports that Abayomi in the same vein gave kudos to Governor Dapo Abiodun for providing a conducive atmosphere for the election and enjoined him to continue his work of taking the state to greater height

‘The Inter Party Advisory Council IPAC Ogun State hereby gives kudos to the ever-performing peoples Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun over the smooth and peaceful conducts of Local Government Election in to the 20 Local government and 236 wards yesterday the 16th day of November 2024’

‘I Comrade Abayomi Sanyaolu, the State chairman of Ogun State Inter Party Advisory on behalf of other political parties Chairman also extend our congratulatory message to an outstanding achiever and Chairman of OGSIEC Bar Babatunde Osibodu for showing the capacity to conduct free and fair election’, he stated

‘We appreciate the efforts of Governor Dapo Abiodun for providing enabling and peaceful atmosphere for the election as there was no record of violence before, during and after the election. IPAC under my leadership also applaud OGSIEC for being a partner in progress and listening to our various demands’, Abayomi added.

Penpushing also reports that the advisory council while congratulating the elected officials, however, urged that to continue to deepen democracy in all of their local government areas by ensuring an open-door policy amongst all political parties as they are the leaders of the local government.

‘This election had all parties participating and we congratulate the winners whom are being given the letters of certification today, we encourage you all to continue to deepen democracy in all of your local government areas by ensuring an open-door policy amongst all Political parties as you are the leaders of the local government. We shall continue to work with the State Government in our various capacities’, the council emphasised.

Penpushing reports that other officials in attendance include Akerele Abiodun (BOOT Party), Abioro Hunu Temitayo (ADC), Patrick Kehinde Oyatayo(APM), Seriki Boyede Ijaduoye(ZLP), Hon Olayinka Abayomi(APGA) and Hon Adeyemi Solomon
