Bandits kill Ibadan polytechnic student one week to weeding

A final years student at Department of Music Technology, Polytechnic, Ibadan, Ebenezer Ayeni said to be preparing for his wedding was on Thursday murdered by suspected armed robbers in Ojoo area of Ibadan,the Oyo State Capital.
Penpushing reports that ,Ayeni, who was President of Christian fellowship in the institution had visited see his mother in Ojoo area when the armed robbers invaded the community, and it was gathered that the bandits shot the deceased in the leg, and later bled to death few hours after he was rushed to the hospital.
The Institution Public Relations Officer, Alhaji Soladoye Adewole while reacting to the sad incident on Friday said Ayeni’s death was a great loss to the institution and society, because the deceased was an employer of labour.
“When the armed robbers had successfully operated in the area, they asked Ayeni to lead them to other neighbors but he declined and in the process, they shot him in his leg.. We are in sad mood as we speak. Such a successful and employer of labour at that age was killed. It is a great loss to the polytechnic and to the society because he was employer of labour””
Penpushing further reports that,Oyo State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso also confirmed the incident in Ibadan on Friday.
