I WILL CLEAR BACKLOG OF PROMOTIONS, SUNDRY PAYMENT BEFORE LEAVING OFFICE, GOVERNOR AMOSUN
Amosun, called on workers and other stakeholders on need to continue to partner with government, ’as we all know that industrial harmony is so critical to our continued prosperity. It is therefore important that all of us as stakeholders should continue to work together and play our part in mission to rebuild Ogun State’
He said, his administration will continue to implement policies and programmes to enhance productivity of the esteemed workers, and will not take welfare of the workforce for granted, stating that training and re-training, promotion, remunerations, which include salaries, bonuses and dues of workers and pensions will always be considered as core responsibility
The Chairman Teaching Service Commission, Chief (Mrs) Olabosipo Ogunsan, earlier in his welcome address explained that the award was to reward and celebrates excellence with the aim of boosting the morale of the teaching and non-teaching staff.
She explained that, the awardees have been carefully chosen to put a round right peg in a round hole, adding that the award was a wakeup call for the awardees, to work harder because, ‘to who much is given, much is expected’.
‘This is not to say that those who have not been selected for any award are lazy or not recognized or appreciated but the fact remains that, out of the best, there must be number one’, the Chairman emphasized.
Ogunsan, however, appealed to the State Government on need to consider the promotion of teachers, and recruitment of more teaching and non-teaching staff, to fill the wide gap that has been created by deaths, retirements and resignation among others.
