I threw my girlfriend inside well for denying me sex, says suspect

A murder suspect Shagbada Erigga on Tuesday made a confession that he threw a 30 year old lady, Happiness Winfred inside the well, for her refusal to allow him have sex with her, when she came on a visit to her residence in Oritoke Area, Ojoo, Ibadan
Penpushing reports that, the suspect made the confession when he was paraded alongside other 32 suspects for various criminal offences at the Oyo State Police Command, Eleyele, Ibadan, the State Capital
“She came to my house on Sunday around 7pm, after we have took our bath, I demanded for sex, and she refused and this was what led to the misunderstanding, I told her that is what she does all the time I wanted to have sex with her I will be begging her? I slapped her and she slapped me back’.
“I later gave her three blows on her neck and she fell down and started bleeding, after she died, I took her body and dumped her inside a well. I was caught after one of my neighbors came back from work in the night and wanted to fetched water from the well’,
‘My neighbor now discovered that the water has been polluted and bringing bad odur, the water was traced and that was how it was discovered that a lady was thrown inside the well, and I was, later arrested after the case was reported to the police’,he told journalists.
The police said exhibits recovered from the suspects includes, one cell phone, a wristwatch, chain, hand bag, undies, door key, and a sandal, just as the Commissioner of Police Nwachuckwu Enwonwu declared that he is ready to consolidates on the existing security architecture in the stats by providing adequate security, quality service delivery and have a respect for human right.
Penpushing further reports that, he emphasised that the command will not relent on its efforts in combating crimes and criminalities in the state, adding that machineries have been put in place and massive deployment were carried out to curtail the menace of the criminal elements.
The commissioner however solicited from the public their continued supports by constantly assisting the police with credible, timely and useful information that will enable them to combats crimes and criminalities in Oyo State.
