I am awaiting detailed facts on Lekki shooting before I could talk, says Buhari
The President Muhammadu Buhari has said he was still awaiting detailed facts about the shooting of peaceful protesters by soldiers at Lekki toll gate in Lagos State before he could talk on the incidents
Penpushing reports that, Buhari made this known in a statement by his spokesman, Femi Adesina stating that all the facts are yet to be established in his office as he declared support for the judicial panel set up by the Lagos State government to investigate the Lekki shootings and other similar crimes by security operatives.
The President has been criticized within and outside the country for keeping mute about the Lekki shooting that has been condemned by many Nigerians and the International Community including the U.S. government.
