HIGH RATE OF UNEMPLOYMENT ENCOURAGES POLITICIANS IN ACQUIRING ILLEGAL WEALTH,SAYS CHRISTIAN ORGANISATION

He added further that, majority of the politicians have no jobs, and therefore sees politics as  only available means to make free money, and amass wealth, but quickly call for need to avoid making politics attractive to acquire illegal wealth.

His words, ‘I make bold to say that many politicians are not genuine, they are very selfish. Jobless politicians want to remain perpetual in office, because they have no tangible job, and see politics as avenue to acquire illegal wealth’

The Christian body observed that politicians in Nigeria take electorates for granted and blamed electorates as being docile, pointing out that, how many times do many of the elected officials go back to their constituency after resuming power?

‘The problem is the electorates, we are too docile, and that is why politicians take us for granted. Why must government fund parties, parties should fund themselves. Salary of legislators must be cut’, he declared

The Chairman who gave highlights of the conference as include; evangelism, lecture on stress management, visit to museums, plenary session and fellowship, added that over 1,000 delegates across the country are expected to attend the event, which also include number of traditional rulers.

He disclosed that, the Fountain was established 50 years ago, with membership cut across the globe, with two chapters located in United States of America (USA), explaining that the essence of the organization was to make the world better.
