HIGH COURT ORDERS POLICE TO MOVE DINO MELAYE TO ABUJA HOSPITAL

The State Chief Judge, Nasir Ajanah in his ruling ordered the transfer of the Senator to the National Hospital, Abuja, pending the determination of his bail conditions next week Monday. It is recalled that, Melaye was driven to court in Lokoja in an ambulance on Thursday morning.

He declared that he granted the order for Melaye to be moved to the National Hospital in Abuja because the police could not identify a federal prison in Abuja that has the appropriate health facilities to take care

Penpushing recalled that, earlier last week, one of Melaye’s colleagues, Ben Murray-Bruce, said that Melaye escaped from custody because he was tear-gassed repeatedly in the vehicle by officers which complicated his health condition as an asthma patient
