Gunmen kill pregnant woman, three others in Anambra community
Gunmen have killed a pregnant woman and three others when they invaded Eziani, a community in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State of Nigeria, shooting sporadically, an attack said to occur at about 1am
Penpushing reports that Anambra State Police Command Public Relations Officer Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the sad incident in a statement on Tuesday, adding that the victims include three males and one female, and that the corpses have been deposited in a morgue for preservation, but did not confirmed the female victim was pregnant
The Command spokesman who is a Deputy Superintendent of Police, said police operatives have recovered the bodies of the victims, explaining that preliminary information showed that the bandits were armed with AK-47 rifles
“Preliminary information reveals that the criminals, armed with AK-47 rifles, started shooting indiscriminately and unprovoked, unfortunately, bullets hit four unarmed civilian populaces’, Ikenga said.
