Gunmen kill six family members in Osun state
Gunmen have invaded and attacked Wasimi community located along Ife-Ibadan expressway and killed six members of the same family in a midnight operations before daybreak, but reason for the attack could not be ascertain as at the time of filing this report.
Penpushing reports that, the bandits on arrival at the community were shooting sporadically, and on completion of the attack, the gunmen were reported to have escaped, while as at the time of filing this report operatives of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) and Hunters Group of Nigeria are currently trying to unveil identities of the perpetrators.
The Osun State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, when contacted confirmed the incident, adding that as at the time contacting him, the Commissioner of Police had gone to the community.
“The killing happened in a community called Wasimi and all the people killed are family members. The commissioner of police is currently in the place as I speak to you and our officers have also been deployed to the place, she said
