Gunmen invade university teaching hospital, abduct director
Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted a female Director and a security officer of the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH), Ituku Ozalla in Enugu State, after invading the institution on Tuesday.
Penpushing reports that sources said the Director identified as Ngozi Mbah, also a nurse was trailed to the premises of the hospital around 9 a.m. by the gunmen, who shot at her SUV vehicle, lamenting that there is no presence of security operatives around the facility despite being a recognised institution.
The source who showed the vehicle of the abducted Director said the management and staff are still in fear as at the time of filing this report recalling that that was not the first time the teaching hospital would be attacked by gunmen
Penpushing further reports that a video clip which was uploaded on facebook at about 1pm on Tuesday showed a Toyota SUV reportedly belonging to the abducted Director been circulating on social media as at the time of this report.
Meanwhile, the Enugu State Police Command Public Relations Officer Daniel Ndukwe, when contacted said he was yet to be briefed on the incident.
