Guest dies at birthday party
A 21-year-old guest, Micheal Arigbabuwo, has died at a birthday party, held at Igbogbo area of Ikorodu in Lagos State, after allegedly mixing two hard drugs for maximum effect, while three of his friends suspected to be yahoo yahoo boys have been arrested
Penpushing report that, Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed this in his verified Twitter handle, explained that the incident occurred on Friday stressing that the police received a distress call and responded promptly
The police spokesman said the distress call has it that some group of Yahoo Yahoo boys brought a corpse to the Igbogbo area of Ikorodu, adding that based on the information detectives moved to the scene
“Based on the information, teams of detectives visited and photographed the scene. Three young men of ages 23 and 24 were arrested. The suspects claimed that the deceased allegedly smoked loud and drank codeine at a birthday party of one of their friends held at Igbogbo area of Ikorodu. The suspects further claimed that the deceased began gasping for breath. He was rushed to the hospital but died’, he said.
Penpushing further reports that, Hundeyin disclosed that as at the time of filing this report, the corpse had being evacuated and deposited at the General Hospital, Ikorodu, for autopsy, and called on the youths on the need to desist from drugs consumption.
