GOVERNORSHIP RACE: YOU ARE SEEKING ENDORSEMENT THROUGH AN EX-CONVICT, ACOMORAN TELLS BURUJI KASHAMU
‘It has come to the attention of both the State and National leadership of Acomoran that some impostors claiming to be our members, a few days ago, purportedly made the Senator representing Ogun East Senatorial District at the Senate, Distinguished Senator Buruji Kashamu their National Patron while pledging 64,000 votes’.
‘But for the need to guide unsuspecting members of the public especially politicians who might be deceived into parting with their hard earned resources to these desperate, disgruntled and frustrated individuals, who from information available to us, is led by an ex-convict, we may not have responded’.
Penpushing further reports that, the association declared that for the records, the body is led by Prince Samsudeen Adebayo Apelogun in Ogun State, with the State Secretariat located in, Quarry Road, Abeokuta.
‘We wish to advise individuals and groups to always endeavour to visit our office for clarification on any matter relating to Acomoran before dealing with anyone or group of people that approaches them on Acomoran related issue’, the statement said.
‘If these individuals could go to the extent of deceiving a sitting Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and his followers, every Nigerian must be on the guard, else they will be playing into the hands of fraudsters, whose modus operandi is to impersonate organisations of great repute with the aim of reaping where they did not sow’.
‘We wish to appeal to the general public to be weary of these elements. Needless to state that we have called the attention of law enforcement agencies who are in the know of our operations and familiar with our leadership, to this act of impersonation’.
‘While assuring the government at all levels that as a well organised, law abiding association, we are ever committed to the development of our dear state and will continue to play our roles, especially in revenue generation and other areas that our services are required, the general public, should note that we will continue to orientate and educate our members on the sanctity of life and the need to place premium on safe riding’.
‘We wish Senator Buruji Kashamu the best in his political aspiration but he should please note that as far as Acomoran is concerned, those who visited him are not known to our association and since Acomoran is not factionalised, the said patronship is null, void and of no substance. The general public should please take note’.
