Governorship primary: I am done with all progressives congress, says Obaseki

The embattled Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has announced his resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC), while it is recalled that he had earlier said he would take a decision on his membership of the party after meeting with President Muhammed Buhari.

Penpushing reports Obaseki made his resignation known after meeting with Buhari, while it is also recalled that he was last week disqualified by the All Progressives Congress (APC) from participating in the party’s governorship primary slated for June 22.

The disqualified Obaseki is interested to contest for a second term in office under the All Progressives (APC), but the ambition was cut short by the party, over alleged inaccuracies in his school certificates.

Penpushing further reports that Obaseki had been at loggerhead with the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, and following his disqualification  blamed Oshiomhole, as responsible for his ordeal.

Meanwhile, as at the time of this reports, Obaseki who was still optimistic of contesting the Governorship election, was yet to disclosed the platform, he would use, but speculation has it that, he was considering Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
