Governor’s wife donates N1million to Anambra state government for fight coronavirus

The wife of Anambra State Governor, Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano has donated the sum of N1million to Anambra State Government to support the state in the fight against coronavirus that is currently ravaging the world.
Penpushing reports that, and the founder of CAFE foundation, a non profitable organization said the donation is aimed, to help many indigent widows, the less privileged persons as well as persons with disability.
The organization’s Board member, Dr Glory Ogugua, while presenting the cheque at government house in Akwa said the establishment has and will always be concerned with anything that affects the state and it’s citizens, calling on other Non Governmental Organisations, Individuals and corporate bodies to support the state government at this critical time.
Penpushing further reports that, receiving the cheque, the Secretary to the State Government, Prof Solo Chukwulobelu, thanked the founder for the generous donation and prayed for God to grant founder the courage, wisdom and strength to continue in her good work of charity.
The State House of Assembly members in a related development have started distributing food stuff and other health items such as sanitizers, buckets and detergents to their various constituencies.
Penpushing also reports that, the Speaker Hon. Uche Okafor, commended his colleagues for engaging in this philanthropic gesture, adding that,‘the .massive distribution of relief materials by the members of the House is to complemented the efforts of Governor Willie Obiano’s administration in ensuring that the people of Anambra State did not experience unnecessary hardship at this critical period of our national life.
