Governor Soludo places N10 million bounty on killers of security operatives in Anambra state
The Anambra State Governor Prof Charles Soludo has placed a N10 million bounty on killers of two security operatives and five unarmed passers-by residents in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State of the state.
Penpushing reports that that Soludo made this known when he paid a condolence visit to the families of the deceased and equally asked residents of Ihiala to rise to the challenge of fighting insecurity in the area.
The Governor pointed out that community leaders should support security operatives with information to aid the fight against insecurity in the state, and ensure that they should not let such attack happen again
“They (community leaders) must rise. They must not let this attack happen again. Anyone that will give information that will lead us to get these killers, the government will give that person N10 million. We are bringing N10 million on their heads- each of them,” he stated
Penpushing further reports that Soludo who rained curses on the gunmen who carried out the attack and killings in the council area, emphasizing that their(killers) generation, will never see good things.
“I am saying on behalf of Anambra State that all the people who carried out this attack and killings, their generation, will never see good things. They, their children and all their supporters will not witness good things,” the governor said in Igbo language.
Penpushing also reports that it is recalled that gunmen, on December 30, 2024, attacked and killed two security operatives and five unarmed residents in the council area, while the police said the attackers began shooting sporadically when they arrived at a venue where preparations were ongoing for a burial ceremony slated for January 2.
