Governor Mbah appoints new commissioners, reconstitutes boards in Enugu state

The Enugu State Governor Dr Peter Mbah, has approved the appointment of new commissioners, board chairmen, executive secretaries and other senior officials across key agencies of the state government.
Penpushing reports that stated that the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Professor Chidiebere Onyia made this known in a statement made available to journalists, adding that their names have been forwarded to the Enugu State House of Assembly for confirmation.
The statement said Barrister Osinachi Nnajieze and Dr C. O. C. Egumgbe have been named Commissioners-designate to fill vacancies created by the resignation of some commissioners’ months ago.
Penpushing further reports that reports that other senior appointees were Kenechukwu Nnamani as Managing Director of the Enugu State Investment Development Authority (ENSIDA), James Chukwuemeka Mbah, Executive Secretary of the Enugu State Scholarship and Education Loans Board and Dr Eric Oluedo, Executive Secretary of the Local Government Staff Pensions Board.
The others are Mrs Sylvia Onwubuemeli as Executive Secretary of the Enugu State Library Board while Monday Diamond Ani was appointed State Coordinator of the Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA).
Penpushing also reports that the Governor equally approved the reconstitution of the Governing Board of the Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board (ENSUBEB), while the members include Hon. Afam Nnaji (Member 1), Dr Mrs Uche Eze (Member 2) and Dr Mrs Oge Uka (Member 4).
The others are Mrs Rita Chimaobi Ihemeje (representing Enugu West Senatorial District), Mrs Justina Ugwu (representing Enugu North Senatorial District), and Dr Nnenna Ogbonna (representing Enugu East Senatorial District).
Penpushing reports that the list includes Theophilus Nweke, representing Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Mrs Juliet Ifesinachi Ani, representing the State Women Group, with Dr Luke Ohabuenyi Ezema as Secretary.
The additional appointments approved by the Governor include Dr Mrs Nneka Onyebuchi and Patrick Onwe as members of the Post Primary Schools Management Board (PPSMB), Barrister Nwabueze Ugwu, Chairman of the Governing Council of the Enugu State College of Education (Technical), while Chief Nwabueze Nnamani is Board Chairman of the Enugu State Housing Development Corporation (ESHDC).
Penpushing further reports that Richard Onaga was appointed Managing Director of the Enugu State Waste Management Agency (ESWAMA), Hon. Bob Itanyi, Managing Director of the Enugu State Transport Company (ENTRACO). Barrister Richard Agu, Board Chairman of Enugu Air, while Rt Hon. U.S.A. Igwesi was named Board Chairman of the New Enugu Smart City Development Authority.
The other appointments include Hon. Chika Igwesi as Chairman of the Enugu State Road Maintenance and Development Agency; Hon. Chidera Odo as Chairman of Enugu State Roads Fund; and Hon. Barrister Manfred Nzekwe as Executive Secretary of the Enugu State Roads Fund.
Penpushing also reports that Dr John Egbo was appointed Managing Director of the Enugu East Zone Transport Terminals, while Hon. Prince Emeka Mamah was named Managing Director of the Enugu North Zone Transport Terminals. Rev. Chimaobi Aninwene was appointed a member of the Enugu State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board
