GOVERNOR MAKINDE PROMISES ASSISTANCE IN TRANSFORMING IBADAN AIRPORT
The Governor explained that there is need to partner and synergize with the authority of the airport to ensure expansion of the runway, provision of security and other procedures that would facilitate cargo operation and other mode of operations in the airport.
Penpushing further reports that, Makinde however said that he was optimistic that pilgrims from the State would be airlifted from Ibadan Airport, starting from next year, adding that Ibadan Airport is central to the state economy and could assist the State Agricultural Sector for required economic development.
The Managing Director of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Capt. Rabiu Yadudu earlier in his address recounted some challenges confronting the Ibadan Airport and called for necessary support from the State Government while pledging commitment to its mandate.
The Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria(FAAN) boss however emphasised that Ibadan Airport would continue to evolve in it procedures, processes, personnel and structures, thanking the people of the state for cooperation and patronage.
