GOVERNOR ‘AMOSUN’ ATTENDS ALLIED PEOPLES MOVEMENT CAMPAIGN LAUNCH

However, at the campaign launch held at the 35,000 capacity Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, the Governor’s look-alike who was identified as Musibau Adepegba, but popularly called ‘Small Governor’ was ushered him to the stage   to address the gathering.

Penpushing further reports that, Adepegba who dressed in the replica of the known native attire (Buba and Soro) of Amosun, perfectly mimicked the Governor to the amazement of the party supporters and guests, and called for votes for Akinlade during election.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) ‘Governor’, also said the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), should as a way to reciprocate,  support and vote for Muhammed Buhari during the Presidential election, adding that the adoption of Buhari by the party was a welcome development

The Governorship Candidate of Allied Peoples Movement, APM, Adekunle Akinlade  who arrived the venue alongside his running mate, Adebajo in a motorcade and carrying Cassava, a symbol of the party called the bluff of his former party, All Progressives Congress, (APC), which he alleged denied him and others,  the ticket to run under its banner.

Penpushing also reports  that, Akinlade said, the party flag handed over to him by the National Chairman of the party, would be given to Governor Ibikunle Amosun of the ruling All Progressives Congress,( APC), for onward transmission to President Muhammed Buhari, as a symbol of the party support and adopting him as its candidate at the poll.

He commended Amosun, who he described as a mentor and good leader, hence, his(Akinlade) resolved to continue his legacy, if elected the next governor of the state, adding that, he would further transform the state where Amosun stopped.

Penpushing further reports that, the National Chairman of Allied Peoples Movement, (APM), Mamman Yusuf Mamman in his speech disclosed that, the party has adopted President Muhammed Buhari, as its Presidential Candidate and also handed over the party flag to Akinlade, as the authentic Governorship candidate of Allied Peoples Movement, (APM).

He congratulated the members, bulk of them from the All Progressives Congress, (APC), adding that their decision to defect to the Allied Peoples Movement, (APM), was a wise decision which came at the appropriate time.

The party boss, called on members to work as family members in ensuring success at the poll, and also reminded them to campaign for President Muhammed Buhari towards victory for him in regards his second term ambition.

The Director General of the Governorship Candidate, Alhaji Sarafa Ishola in his own speech boasted that the party has come to stay, adding that within the short period of its emergence, it has become a house hold name to be reckoned with.

The former Minister encouraged members, to put behind them, the incident of being cheated by the power to be in All Progressives Congress, APC, to secure tickets for the candidates, rather they should forge ahead towards resounding victory for Allied Peoples Movement, APM, and all its candidates.
