GOVERNOR ABIODUN SWEARS IN NEW HEAD OF SERVICE

The Governor noted that the public service was the core engine room of government, charging the new Head of Service to incorporate her wealth of knowledge and experience in the discharge of her duties.

The new Head of Service while responding appreciated the Dapo Abiodun led administration for finding her worthy as the Head of Service, pledging her support for the government and to dedicate herself to the pursuit of excellence, through the help of God and the entire workforce, so as to attain greater height.

Penpushing further reports that, a statement earlier by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Kunle Somorin said the new Head of Service was appointed following the retirement on Friday of Lanre Bisiriyu who was the immediate past Head of Service

The statement said the State has a legacy of excellence to protect in its public service that produced the likes of Simeon Adebo and A.K Degun of blessed memory, adding that Chokor comes into her new position with impeccable pedigree and service record.

The new head of service is an accomplished town planner and administrator, she hails from Imapa Quarters at Ota, in Ado-Odo/ Ota Local Government area of the State. Until her appointment, Mrs Chokor (nee Bankole) was Permanent Secretary in the State Civil Service Commission.

“The Ogun State Government, under Governor Abiodun knows that TPL Chokor, who has proven over the years to understand the system, would put to use her vast knowledge in the management of the State Civil Service and also maintain the high standard that the service is known for’, the statement said.

The traditional ruler of Ota-Awori, where the new Head of Service hails from,  Olota of Ota, Oba  Adeyemi Obalanlege, thanked the Governor for the opportunity given the new Head of Service to serve, adding , Ota-Awori people will forever be grateful.
