Governor Abiodun salutes President-elect, Tinubu at 71
The Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has felicitated Nigeria’s President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his 71st birthday, describing him as an icon of progressive politics in the country.
Penpushing reports the Governor in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Kunle Somorin on Wednesday noted that the septuagenarian has contributed immensely to the political development of Nigeria, even before the country’s return to democracy in 1999.
The Governor added that the President-elect, despite his advance in age, has continued to demonstrate his political sagacity, capacity and astuteness, pointing out that 71 is looking good on him, and thanked God for his life
Penpushing further reports that Abiodun said, though Tinubu has called for prayers from Nigerians to mark his birthday instead of rolling out drums, but stated that the progressives would celebrate the birthday by working towards making the country great.
The Governor while praying for a long life, good health and strength for the President-elect, said that Nigeria would witness a massive positive turn-around under the leadership of Tinubu, stressing that the new Nigeria would emerge under the watch of Tinubu, who according to him, is a God’s gift to Nigeria, particularly, at the present time when the country needed a national stabilizer and unifier at the helm.
