Governor Abiodun inaugurates sikiru adetona college of education governing council

The Ogun State Government has inaugurated the Governing Council of Sikiru Adetona College of Education, Science and Technology, Ijebu-Ode, and comprises Mr. Wole Sowole as Chairman, while Engr. Femi Omotayo, Revd. Bola Oyeledun, Major Gen. Bamidele Shafa (Rtd.) and Prince Kayode Tejuoso would serve as members.

Penpushing reports that Governor, Dapo Abiodun, at the inauguration held at the Executive Chamber of the Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, said the institution was instrumental to the development of teachers and the education sector of the state and the country as a whole.

’The founder of the institution, Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona, whose name the institution bears, is extremely passionate about the development of the institution and has begun to raise funds for its growth’’, he said.

Penpushing further reports that Abiodun charged members of the governing council to use their diverse knowledge and skills to uplift the college, in order to complement his administration’s effort towards building the future of the state, urging them to abide by the Oath of Office and justify the confidence reposed in them.

The Governor speaking on the protest embarked on by youths in the country, commended those in the state for being law-abiding through their constructive engagement with government, appealing to them to be patient, to enable the Nigerian government respond to their demands.
