Governor Abiodun approves recruitment of state counsels
The Ogun State Governor,Prince Dapo Abiodun has approved the recruitment of state counsels into the civil service, in accordance with the provision of the scheme of service.
Penpushing reports that,this was contained in a circular signed by the Permanent Secretary, Civil Service Commission, Mr. Kola Ogunlana, stating that, qualifying written examination would be conducted by the Public Service Competitive Entrance Examination Board of the Commission, on December 24, 2020 .

Penpushing further reports that,the circular added that after the examination a 2-day extended interview, as well as final oral interview would be conducted at the Commission’s office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
The circular explained that interested applicants should obtain form at the Civil Service Commission’s office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, after making payment of Ten thousand naira (N10, 000) to the bank on or before December 23, 2020 by 12.00noon.
Penpushing also reports that, in a related development Ogun State Ministry of Justice has proposed the sum of N1.19billion for its total expenditure in the next fiscal year.
The State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Akingbolahan Adeniran made this known while defending its budget proposal for year 2021, before the Ogun State House of Assembly members, at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
Penpushing reports that, Adeniran said the capital cost was put at N219.6million, personnel cost of N470.4million while the overhead cost amounted to N500million, declaring that the ministry would foster on activities that would fast track the dispensation of justice.
The Commissioner said the ministry has institutionalised administration of criminal justice committee, introduction of justice clock and police duty solicitor scheme that would allow police to keep database of suspects, among others.
Penpushing reports that, in her presentation, the Director, Ogun State Multi-Door Court House, Mrs. Adeola Adelaja said work is on-going to give a face lift to the State judiciary complex, as well as the provision of more buses that would ease movement of staff to courts, and the provision of more courts in Yewa axis, Alagbole and Mowe-Ibafo areas.
