Governor Abiodun appoints seasoned journalist, tunde oladunjoye as board chairman, ogun state television
The Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun has appointed a seasoned journalist, Ambassador Tunde Oladunjoye as the Chairman, Board of the Ogun State Television (OGTV) alongside with nine members
Penpushing reports that, the announcement was contained in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary of the Governor, Kunle Somorin, which also disclosed appointments of members in other boards and commissions.
The Board Chairman of the government owned television station was until his appointment the Publicity Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and had practice journalism over two decades.
Penpushing reports that, the statement said the appointees, like in the earlier phases, were drawn from across membership of all the political parties in consonance with the administration policy to promote inclusiveness, merit and experience in its quest to building a peaceful and a more prosperous future for citizens of the State.
The members of the Ogun State Television (OGTV) include: Mrs. Bola Akinyan, Lekan Adejare, Olukotun Segun, Sunday Akinyemi Matthew, ,Avose Johnson, G.O. Ogunfowora , Hon. MuriAwolaja, Akeem Anibi and Mr. Wale Idowu
Penpushing further reports that, the statement said in a similar development, the Printing Corporation appointees are: Sola Otesile(Chairman), while other members are: Zangonde Daniel Sonayon, Bagbuyi Segun Tai ,Dorcas Odugbesan, Gabriel Ogunyemi and Prince Adetona Fatai ,Barrister Tunde Ogunsola(member)
The Governor also announced appointments of board of the Water Corporation and these include; Hon. Fatai Sowemimo(Chairman),Wale Omowunmi(member), Evang. Kehinde Akinsoji(member),Femi Ade Rasheede(member) and Yomi Olojeloj(member)
Penpushing also reports that six Senior Special Assistants were appointed and they include: Popoola Bolaji, Seyi Odumuyiwa, Bode Edun, Rufai Abidemi,Segun Ojolowo and Afeez Balogun
The statement added that the Governor had repeatedly promised a wholesome approach to governance and stressed his resolve to appoint people from diverse experience backgrounds as political appointees towards re-engineering the State and to ensure poverty alleviation and wealth creation among the people.
Penpushing reports that, the Governor charged the new appointees to be forward thinking in the discharge of the onerous task of moving the State to the next level.
“The Building Our Future Together is more than a mantra. It is a policy thrust that we will leave no stone unturned to actualize. Our inclusiveness is deliberate, because together, we will achieve more and at a faster pace”, the statement said.
