
Ghastly auto crash: Police arrest Anthony Joshua’s driver
The driver of the Lexus Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) which involved in an accident along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway resulting in serious injuries sustained by world boxing champion Anthony Joshua and claimed lives of his two friends have been arrested.
Penpushing reports that the Ogun State Police Command Public Relations Officer Seyi Babaseyi confirmed this is a terse statement on Sunday adding that investigations on the sad incident was ongoing.
The police spokesperson, however, did not give details if the driver will be charged to court after investigations, nor what charges he would face if he is subsequently found wanting, but affirmed that the suspect is in police custody as at the time filing this report

“The driver of the Lexus SUV is currently in custody in connection with the Anthony Joshua accident case. Investigations are ongoing”, Babayemi wrote
Penpushing further reports that it would be recalled that the driver conveying Joshua and his friends allegedly overspeeding lost control and rammed on a parked truck along the busy expressway and the impact claimed lives of two of the boxer’s friends on the spot.
The famous Joshua after being rescued from the wreckage vehicle was rushed to hospital in Lagos where he received best medical treatment and got discharged on Wednesday, and later left with his mother in sober mood to pay last respect to his deceased friends at a funeral home in Lagos before transportation of their remains to United Kingdom
