Gboyega Isiaka pledges commitment to improving water accessibility

The member of the Federal House of Representatives Hon. Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, representing Yewa North/Imeko/Afon Federal Constituency at the national assembly has expressed his commitment to advancing water accessibility in Ogun State, with focus on areas with limited access to potable water.

Penpushing reports that Isiaka, popularly called GNI gave the assurance when he received the leadership of the Association of Water Well Drilling Rig Owners and Practitioners (AWDROP), Ogun State Chapter on a courtesy call in his office Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The politician Chairman, House of Representative Committee on Students Loans, Scholarships, and Higher Education Financing highlighted the ongoing need for efficient borehole monitoring and maintenance, specifically mentioning existing water projects in the Egua and Oja Odan areas, pointing out that the crucial role of the association could play in ensuring the longevity and effectiveness of these borehole projects

Penpushing further reports that Isiaka, who double as frontline member of Penpushing platform, owners of online newspaper and television underscored the importance of partnership with the Association of Water Well Drilling Rig Owners and Practitioners (AWDROP), to create sustainable water solutions.

‘We have a lot of borehole projects, especially in areas like Egua and Oja Odan. Partnering with AWDROP will help us find lasting solutions and ensure these projects serve the people as intended’ Isiaka emphasised.

Penpushing also reports that in his remarks the association leader Mr Olufemi Gbolahan said the body has the technical capabilities and is willing to partner with stakeholders to provide access to clean and drinkable water to rural communities in Ogun State in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.

The team include Akiode Hassan (Secretary), Shittu Abiodun Raman (Welfare Officer), and Denis Nwenonye(South-South Region Vice President), and they all pledged their commitment to work with Isiaka’s office, promising to use their expertise to address water scarcity in Yewa and other areas across Ogun State.
