Gbenro Adebanjo, ‘Oba ni Jesu’ celebrates wife at 50

Dateline: Tuesday, February 18, 2020, while event of the day was the celebration of fifth decade of Mrs Olubunmi Abiola Adebajo, with the venue at the Basic Trust Event Centre, a stone throw to the popular Iwe-Iroyin Press Centre, Oke-Ilewo,   Abeokuta, Oggun State Capital.

Penpushing reports that, the celebrator who is the wife of Gbenro Adebanjo, former Chief Press Secretary to former Governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel of Ogun State, was joined by well-wishers across the globe to celebrate her at 50.

The husband, popularly called ‘Obanijesu’, was not left out of the befitting outing, he organized for his spouse, he described as a good wife, mother and friend, telling the guests that they have been together as a couple for over three decades, and had no regret marrying her.

Penpushing further reports that ,the programme was in two phases, a thanksgiving was first held with opening prayer, praise worship, Hymn with title, ’Great is Thy Faithfulness, Exhortation, ‘My testimony, Special Prayers for the Celebrator and family.

The sermon was also conducted by Rev Razak Adetola of Zion Scripture Four Square Gospel, Adigbe, Abeokuta, followed with the closing hymn titled, ’It pays to serve Jesus, and rounded off with closing prayer and benediction.

Penpushing also reports that, the second phase of the colourful ceremony which was a reception  was also kick-started with opening prayer, while  other programmes include; testimonies, about the celebrator, cutting of the cake, response from the celebrator and husband, and rounded off with music as provided by the ‘Light Crew Musical Band’

The Celebrator in her testimonies was full with smiles and praises to God, to have seen her through, stating that her thanksgiving was overdue, boasting  that she is a product of God, having passed through many ordeal, which include close shave with death and survived.

Her words, ’my thanksgiving is overdue.I don’t want to owe God thanksgiving. I am a product of God grace and mercy. I had close shave with death number of times, but survived all with God’s grace. Surely, I am a product of God’, she emphasised

The guest were treated to delicious menu, which was equally supported with various drinks and wines, as music rendered the hall, and celebrators joined by welshers on the dancing floor, to appreciate God over her life,
