GANDUJE DECLARES WINNER OF KANO STATE GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Candidate before the supplementary election, was leading the All Progressives Congress (APC) Candidate with about 26,000 votes after he polled 1,014,474 votes while the latter polled 987,819 votes, leaving a difference of 26,655 votes.

Penpushing further reports that, after the supplementary election, Ganduje won by scoring 45,876 votes against Yusuf who recorded 10,239, a development which turned the table in favour of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Candidate.

The State Returning Officer, Prof Bello Shehu, while announcing the results on Sunday at the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC)  in Kano, declared  that Ganduje scored a total vote of 1,033,695 while Yusuf polled 1,024,713.

Penpushing also reports that, as at the time of filing this report, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has  rejected the conduct of the supplementary election and urged the Independent National Electoral Commission( INEC) to cancel the results.
