Funke Fadugba shines at anniversary lecture, bags Penpushing Media leadership award
The Chairman, Editorial Board of Penpushing Media, Deaconess Funke Fadugba has recorded another feat as she bagged outstanding leadership award courtesy of the media outlet, a renowned online media organization.
Penpushing reports that Fadugba, a renowned and veteran media practitioner received the award at the Penpushing Media 6th anniversary lecture held at Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital.
The award was presented to her by former Nigerian Ambassador to Philippines, Ambassador Yemi Farounbi at the well-packaged ceremony, where former Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun was the chairman, while Olowu of Owu Kingdom, Oba(Prof) Saka Matemilola was the royal father of the day, as well as other notable personalities in attendance.
Penpushing further reports that the presentation caught Fadugba unaware, as she was called out at the event by the Secretary of the Anniversary Planning Committee, Sina Adefolahan to receive the leadership quality award.
The Founder of Penpushing Media, Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji explained that the two-time Chairman of Lagos State Chapter of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) was considered for the recognition following her track records.
Penpushing also reports that Kayode-Adedeji said the awardee has and continued to lead Penpushing Media to greater height in the journalism profession describing her as forthright, diligent and committed to the success story of the media outlet
‘Funke Fadugba, no doubt is a household name in journalism world and her activities are not hidden. Her commitment towards success story of Penpushing Media is glaring. The feat of the media out cannot be complete without making reference to her’, Kayode-Adedeji said
Penpushing reports that the awardee while responding said she was amazed because she never thought such was coming and expressed appreciation to the planning committee, stressing that the award recognition would encourage her for additional contributions to developmental growth of the establishment.
