Fresh protest against police brutality resumes in Osogbo

A fresh protest against police brutality resumed in Osogbo, Osun State Capital on Monday, as youth in their hundreds stormed the streets, blocked the entrance of the Osun State House of Assembly, demanding an audience with the leadership of the Assembly.

Penpushing reports that, as at the time of filing this report, the lawmakers were yet to attend to the protesters, while it is recalled that, Governor Gboyega Oyetola was attacked two months ago, by hoodlums who hijacked the protest.

The Osun State Police Command Public Relations Officer,Yemisi Opatola was yet to react to the development as at the time of filing this report, while his Ogun State counterpart, Abimbola Oyeyemi  had earlier issued out statement warning would be protesters to desist

Penpushing further reports that, the Lagos State Police Command in a statement issued by its Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi also raised alarm about plot of replica of police brutality protest.

The command in a statement, warned against any gathering, procession or protest in the State, stressing that some unpatriotic individuals and groups are behind the plot, designed to take place at designated locations in the state.

“In the light of the above, the Lagos State Police Command therefore warns those who might want to disguise under Endsars protest to cause another set of mayhem, brouhaha and violence in the state, to desist from such plans as the police and other security agencies will not fold their arms seeing individuals or groups orchestrating another violence and anarchy in the state”
