FOUR MOTOBIKE PASSENGERS, ONE PASSERBY KILLED IN LAGOS- IBADAN EXPRESSWAY CRASH
The Command stated further that, the total number of people involved in the crash were 16 comprising 11 male adult and 5 female adult, adding that one of the male victims sustained injuries, while five loss their lives
The statement said, as at the time of filing this report, the dead victims were deposited at Fakoya morgue Sagamu, while the injured taken to Global Support Hospital Loburo , explaining that the suspected cause of the multiple crash was excessive speeding which led to loss of control where the motorcycle overloaded with four persons including the rider were crushed to death together with another passerby.
The Federal Road Safety Corp(FRSC) Sector Commander, Clement Oladele regretted the crash and reiterated the need for motorcyclists to obey the National Road Traffic Regulations 2012, which precludes riding of motorcycles with capacity less than 50 cubic capacity on the expressways.
