Former World Sprinter, Falilat congratulates Latifat Tijani for wining medal for Nigeria at Paralympic Games
The World famous Nigerian sprinter, Falilat Ogunkoya-Omotayo has congratulated Latifat Tijani,a Para- Powerlifter for winning the Nigeria first medal at the ongoing Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, in Tokyo, Japan
Penpushing reports that, the former African record holder in the 400m race could not hide her excitement and joy over the superlative performance of the Para- Powerlifter, who is an Ogun State indigene
“I want to congratulate Latifat Tijani and her coach. Kemi Oyebola. She made herself and her coach, Kemi proud for being from Ogun State and Nigeria. She won silver medal five years ago at the Rio 2016 Paralympics Games. For picking a gold this time around, she has done very well, and I am so proud of her. Congratulations once again”, she wrote
Penpushing further reports that, the former Nigeria track and field legend, also congratulated the coach of Powerlifting Team to the games for the excellence performance of the excelled Oyebola on the athletes.
The Nigerian Paralympic Power-Lifter, it is recalled on Thursday won gold medal in the tournaments with a scintillating performance with her second attempt of 105kg and her third attempt 107kg
Penpushing also reports that, Tijani did that in a style with 117kg in her fourth attempt getting close to world record of 118kg to lift the first medal for team Nigeria in the ongoing championship in Japan.
