Former Special Adviser, Joseph Odemuyiwa dies in auto crash
The former Special Adviser to Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State on Vocational and Technical Education, Prof Joseph Odemuyiwa has been reported dead on Tuesday in an auto crash while on his way to Lead City University, Ibadan, Oyo State capital, where he was a lecturer.
Penpushing reports that this was confirmed in a condolence statement by the Governor describing the death of Odemuyiwa who served during his first term in office, as tragic and great loss to the state his family and education sector
The statement pointed out that the erstwhile special adviser was a team player who contributed immensely to the success recorded by his administration in the vocational and technical education during first term in office.
“Prof. Odemuyiwa’s legacy as an educator and advocate will always be remembered and cherished. He was a highly respected individual who made significant contributions to the success of our administration in vocational and technical education.His sudden departure leaves a void that will be felt by many and will be sorely missed by all”, Abiodun said.
Penpushing further reports that the Governor in the statement sympathised with the family of the deceased and loved, during this trying period even as he prayed for the repose of his soul.
