Former Governor Ladoja’ s wife dies at 71

The former governor of Oyo State Rashidi Ladoja, who doubles as the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland has lost one of his wives, Tinuade Ladoja who passed on at age of 71, on Monday after a brief illness

Penpushing reports that the media aide to the former Governor, Adeola Oloko, confirmed the wife’s demise, adding that until her death she was an influential member of the Pastor-in-Council of the Celestial Church of Christ, the highest decision-making body of the church.

The Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) Ikeja Parish 1 Cathedral, the parish she attended, also confirmed her death in a post on its Facebook page sighted on Tuesday, and attributed everything to the will of God and submitted to Him

“It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture. We submit to His will. #farewell.”, the church wrote in the facebook post

Penpushing further reports that President Bola Tinubu has condoled with the former governor and the entire family noting the contributions of the deceased to humanity, affirming her strength in charitable works, wise counsel and advocacy for the welfare and education of women and children.

The President in the condolence by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga praised Tinuade’s selfless lifestyle of living for the good of others and expanding the gospel, serving courageously in the highest decision-making body of the Celestial Church of Christ and the Women in Council for many years.

Penpushing also reports that Tinubu in statement of condolences earnestly prayed for the repose of the departed matriarch’s soul and for God’s comforting arms to strengthen the family during this difficult time.
