Former Flying Eagles midfielder, Ebiede dies battling liver ailment.
A Former Nigerian Flying Eagles Midfielder, who also played for the defunct Sharks of Port Harcourt in 1994, Emmanuel Ebiede has died at the age of 45 after long battle with hepatomegaly (enlargement of the liver) ailment,
Penpushing reports that Lisa Ebiede, who is the daughter of the former youth international, confirmed the death of her father, who was born on March 27, 1978, and in the course of his football caree joined Belgian First Division side SC Eendracht Aalst at age 16 and scored four goals for the club in 34 appearances.
The late footballer in 1997, moved to SC Heerenveen of the Dutch Eredivisie and scored goals found the twice in 36 appearances, and also had some stints in the Middle East, donning the colours of Al Jazira, Al Ain, and Al Dafra, among others.
