OGUN GOVERNMENT TO COMMENCE CENSUS OF RESIDENTS

“We will soon start a resident registration exercise that will help us to have a database of those residing in our state. It will help us to plan and give basic amenities to our people “, he said.

The Governor decrying lack of communication system for security agencies in the State, which he noted had stalled proper information dissemination between security chiefs, called on other stakeholders to join hands with the government in building a secured State.

Penpushing further reports that, Abiodun assured investors that fund realized through the security trust fund would be judiciously used, saying members of the Board are people of integrity.

The Chairman of the Board, Mr. Bolaji Balogun earlier in his welcome address, maintained that the Board consisted of people with proven character and would ensure transparency in its activities by giving room to auditing of its accounts, as well as offering quarterly reports to stakeholders.

 The Commissioner of Police, Bashir Makama, represented by the Deputy Commissioner, Investigation, DCP Wale Abass, on his part stated that the issue of security was a collective responsibility, calling on the public to always offer useful information that would assist security agencies in the discharge of their duties.

Penpushing also reports that, the Executive Secretary of the Board, Mr. Opeyemi Agbaje, in his submission said the Trust Fund would be transparent, accountable and resourceful towards enhancing the efficiency of formal and non-formal security agencies, while ensuring annual town hall meeting with the Governor and stakeholders.
