Fola Achudume, wife of General Overseer Victory Life Bible Church laid to rest

The remains of Reverend Fola Achudume, wife of the General Overseer of Victory Life Bible Church (VLBC), were on Thursday committed to mother earth within the spacious church headquarters located along Abeokuta-Ajebo Road in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital.

Penpushing reports that the burial service held at the church auditorium which was full to capacity was attended by dignitaries from within and outside Nigeria, as the church congregants were not left out to bid the deceased final farewell.

The bereaved husband, Apostle Achudume was accompanied by his children to the funeral service, as well as to the final rest place of the late woman, which was a mausoleum painted in white colour constructed and located within the church compound.

Penpushing further reports that clerics across the country came in large number to be part of the glorious exit of the 55-year-old woman, as hundreds of people spoke glowing about her good work while alive.

The President, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Dr. Isa Abuba, in his sermon from Psalm 116 vs 16, admonished true believers to be consoled by the fact that anyone who died in Christ inherits eternal life.

Penpushing also reports that the clergyman expressed optimism that the deceased was in heaven rejoicing, charging Christians to emulate Christ, obey His commandments and live an exemplary lifestyle.

The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, in his speech at the Special Church Service in celebration of the life and times of the deceased described her as a spiritual leader, mentor, pillar of strength and relentless advocate for a better society.

Penpushing reports that Abiodun who was represented by his Deputy, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, added that the deceased had a profound impact through her ministry and humanitarian efforts, where she served as a role model to the youth and women in particular, stressing that her life would continue to inspire people.

The Governor prayed that God comforts the family and loved ones, with assurance that the state government would continue to stand with the family in honouring her memory and celebrating the life of a truly remarkable woman of God

Penpushing further reports that the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, in his own remarks pointed out that the deceased had lived a life of impact and great achievements, thanking God for giving her the grace to fulfill her purpose in life.

The Governor acknowledged the significant role the deceased played during his (Eno) electioneering period, and pledged a continued support to the family, praying that God continue to uphold, strengthen and console them.

Penpushing also reports that wife of Ogun State Governor, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun, extolled the virtues of late reverend by positively impacting many lives while alive, acknowledging that she was a soldier of Christ, a woman of substance and relationship expert, who has lived an exemplary life through her ministry and prayed that God grants her eternal rest.

The former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Dr. Martha Emmanuel, while speaking commiserated with the husband, children and families of the deceased, describing her as an amazon of Christ, a leader, great woman, full of love and care.

Penpushing further reports that the deceased husband it is recalled he said he is missing his late wife, who died on Saturday, August 3, 2024, stating that that she had finished her race on earth and died peacefully, emphasizing that he would forever miss her, but that he believed she had slept in God.

‘I am missing my wife. We have been together for 32 years. My wife slept in God. There is no devil in my wife’s death. She has finished her race. Am proud of my wife doing what she was called to do.  I never for one day stopped her from doing what she wants to do. She was fulfilled. She lived well and died peacefully. I was with her when she died’, Achudume said.

‘My wife was passionate about women having good homes. She has programmes for secondary school girls to teach them morals, same with boys. She has transformed prostitutes, brought them to church and also empower them. My wife will be missed,” he said

‘We recalled her presence at maiden edition of our annual anniversary lecture and her regular support for the establishment since inception and this added value to the status of the organization’, Kayode-Adedeji wrote.

‘The Reverend popularly called ‘Mama’ because of her motherly and mentorship role to many people which cut across all gender, and ethics as well as religion deployed her Godly wealth of experiences to better the lot of the society’, it added

‘The Christian world, no doubt will miss her, and her death is a huge loss to the immediate family, Penpushing Platform where her husband is a leading figure, while it is indisputable that her legacies are immense and remain indelible in our hearts’, the letter noted.
