Federal University of Agriculture promotes 500 staff, appoints 28 new professors
The management of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has announced promotion of 500 members of staff and this is coming barely a week after workers resumed from the New Year break.
Penpushing reports that, the promotions threw the entire permanent site of the university located at Alabata and its Mawuko mini campus into celebration galore within the first few days of the year.
The Registrar of the institution, Dr. ‘Bola Adekola in a release disclosed that 28 Academic staff have been elevated to the position of Professor,19 to the position of Readers while 35 other academic staff are also elevated to higher positions.
Penpushing further reports that, Adekola who is also the Secretary to Governing Council, in the breakdown of the promotion, informed that 320 Senior Non-Teaching staff and 97 Junior Staff were promoted to higher positions with effect from January 1, 2022.
The Registrar in a statement issued by Head, Directorate of Public Relations of the university, Kola Adepoju expressed gratitude to the Governing Council which acted through the appointments and promotions Committees for Academic Staff and Non-Teaching Staff and the Committees aforementioned for enhancing service delivery without compromising standard..
