Federal Road Safety Corps appoints new spokesperson
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has appointed, Jonas Agwu, an Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM), as the new Corps Public Education Officer (CPEO) following the promotion of Bisi Kazeem as Deputy Corps Marshal.
Penpushing reports that Kazeem until his promotion was the spokesperson of the organization, while his successor, Agwu who has vast experience in the public education department of the corps, was the Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) in charge of command administration and strategies.
The Deputy Corps Public Education Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Charles Edem, in a statement explained that, Kazeem now takes charge of the Department of Training, adding that he would take over from Deputy Corps Marshal Shehu Zaki, who was moved to head the Department of Operations.
Penpushing further reports that the statement said the redeployment is part of strategic initiative targeted at ensuring full realisation of the corporate strategic goals of the Corps in 2024, adding that in same vein the redeployment was to boost existing efforts of the corps towards creating a safer motoring environment.
‘The Corps Marshal, Mr Dauda Biu, expressed confidence in the capacity and experiences of the newly redeployed senior officers to deliver on their mandates and charged them to bring their professional expertise to bear for impactful leadership’, Edem said.
Penpushing also reports that the statement explained that the redeployment is with effect from January 15, 2024 which will mark the end of the ongoing nationwide ember months Operation Zero Tolerance Special Patrol.
