FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SHOULD ADD VALUE TO CORRESCTIONAL CENTRES INMATES WELL BEING,SAYS ISLAMIC CLERIC

The Islamic Cleric who spoke on the topic, ’Freedom’ noted that humanity comes before religion, and thereby urged the  inmates to remain hopeful, resolute and be happy, pointing out that despite their circumstances, the Federal Government must do the needful towards ensuring they become better upon leaving the correctional Centre.

Penpushing further reports that, Amiolorun encouraged the inmates to turn a new leaf on regaing freedom, adding that, while in the correctional centres, they should see it as opportunity to reform themselves for the better.

The Guest Speaker, also told them, not to see their incarceration as the end of the world, rather they should genuinely addressed their misconducts, which brought them into the correctional centre, and desist from going back to crimes.

Penpushing also reports that, the Deputy Controller of Correctional Centre ,located in Ibara area of Abeokuta,  Godwin Onokohwomomo  in his remarks said religion over the years has been adjudged to be a reformation tools for inmates.

The Controller encouraged the inmates, to use the opportunity of their present positions to correct their errors, which brought them into the correctional centre, and turn new leaf on return to the society.
