FEDERAL GOVERNMENT INSTITUTION TAKES OVER SEIZED BUILDING OF LATE BADEH,FORMER CHIEF OF DEFENCE
The handing over of the seized building was effected by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), and had in attendance the Head Media and Publicity of the commission, Tony Orilade, and Okechukwu among others.
Penpushing further reports that, the building was handed over to the Director-General of Voice of Nigeria (VON), Osita Okechukwu, while it is recalled that, as at the time of Badeh’s death, he was being prosecuted for an alleged N3.9 billion fraud he committed as the Defence Chief under former President Goodluck Jonathan.
The Federal High Court, Abuja Division had in March ordered the forfeiture of all properties belonging to the late Air Marshal to the Federal Government through the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Penpushing also recalled that, the judge, Justice Okon Abang also ordered that the Corporate Affairs Commission should be notified of the ruling.
