Fayose makes case for Wike to be appointed as Tinubu’s cabinet member

Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, has called on President Bola Tinubu to consider former Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike as member of his cabinet anytime he (Tinubu) decided to form his cabinet.

Penpushing reports that Fayose made case for Wike during a television interview, stressing that the former Governor of Rivers State and chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has what it takes to serve Nigeria

“I want Wike to be in the cabinet; Wike has what it takes to serve Nigeria. Wike is an articulate capacity person. Nigerians need an average bad person; I support Wike. If Asiwaju finds him worthy or any of the G5, please serve in Asiwaju’s government’, Fayose said

“Wike must serve (in Tinubu’s government). Wike is still a young man; I am his senior brother. Wike is an asset to Nigeria. He is a man of courage. Wike is never timid; he confronts challenges. Asiwaju needs a man like Wike’, he added.

Penpushing further reports that Fayose debunked speculations that Wike and G-5 Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) Governors are planning to defect to the ruling All Progressives Congress(APC), explaining that that was far from the truth

“That is far from the truth. I can sleep and write about Wike. Forget that Wike will leave Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Tell Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leadership to put their house in order’, Fayose emphasized

Penpushing also reports that former Governor Fayose while speaking further in the interview said he would be disappointed if President Tinubu does not appreciate the G5 members for standing by him during the election.

Meanwhile, it is recalled that Wike, who led the G5, a group of five Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s Governors, rebelled against the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national leadership and the party’s 2023 Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
