Family announces date for Akeredolu’s burial
The family of the late former Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu has released burial arrangements slated to hold between February 15 to February 26, 2024 at Ibadan and Owo hometown of the deceased.
Penpushing reports that the eldest son of the late Governor made this known explaining that the lying in state would be held on Wednesday 21 February at the State Sports Complex in Akure and the funeral service would be held on 23 February at St Andrews Church, Owo .
The release added that the Akeredolu who died on December 27, 2023 at a German Hospital following a protracted illness, remains would be committed to mother earth later in Owo town, where the deceased hails from.
‘The lying-in state would be held on Wednesday 21 February at the State Sports Complex in Akure and the funeral service would be held on 23 February at St Andrews Church, Owo to be followed by interment later in Owo’, he said
