FAKE SAMARITANS COLLUDE WITH KIDNAPPERS ALONG IFE-IBADAN-ILESA ROAD TO OPERATE
The investigation revealed that most used by the criminals are some boys selling locally made analgesic balm known as Aboniki, who in connivance with the criminals deliberately diverted innocent motorists to dangerous routes under pretence of assisting them to avoid traffic jam on the major road.
The innocent motorists and passengers after being deceived by the hoodlums pretending to be Samaritans, ended up as victims for the kidnappers, armed robbers and other criminals along the ‘alternative routes’ provided by these fake Samaritans.
Penpushing further reports that, some of the travellers having being victims of the new ploy by the criminals called on the security agencies, to investigate and get the criminals arrested before the situation get out of hands
‘I am on my way to Ilesha now and just left Ibadan. My driver was just warning me that some of the boys selling Aboniki on the road at Ibadan Ife/road will deliberately advise motorist to take another route because there’s traffic on the main carriage way only for them to be robbed or attacked’, a motorist said
‘Lo and behold while we were speaking the boys actually approached vehicles including my own car and told us to divert that there’d traffic ahead. We ignored them and we’ve been on the road no traffic! People should be aware as the boys are planted there to divert motorist an give information’, the motorist added
