EXCLUSIVE: OGUN ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS SCOUTS FOR OGUN WEST DEPUTY GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATE TO REPLACE BODE MUSTAPHA

It is recalled that, the candidates provisional list released on Friday by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) showed Bode Mustapha as the running mate of Dapo Abiodun, but further investigation by Penpushing revealed that, the party is conscious of fair play, and resolved to search for a credible Deputy Governorship Candidate from Ogun West Senatorial District to take the slot.

Penpushng reliably gathered from findings that, the party position showed that, it is morally indefensible for an Egba person to aspire to be either Governor or Deputy when an Egba man will vacate office in 2019.

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), according to further exclusive investigation by Penpushing, admitted that the party will be guilty of what it claimed others are doing, which is known not right, hence, resolve to drop Mustapha

Penpushing authoritatively gathered that, the position of the party on the development was in tune with Mustapha, who was quoted to have reason with the decision of the party in the spirit of fair play and equity

Penpushing also recalled that, Governor Ibikunle Amosun had been at logger head with some chieftains of the party, who accused him of unilaterally picking Akinlade as the party consensus candidate, a development which led to parallel primaries, and eventually produced Abiodun as the party flagbearer by the National Working Committee of the party.

Amosun who was not satisfy had visited President Muhammed Buhari six times, for possible upturn of the National Working Committee (NWC) final decision on the choice of Abiodun, and one of such visit was seeing two traditional rulers in the State, Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun  Gbadebo and Olu of Ilaro, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle  accompanied  him.
