ELECTORAL COMMISSION REJECTS SACKED OGUN ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS CHAIRMAN’S LIST OF AGENTS-CARETAKER COMMITTEE

‘It is important to urge the general public, especially members of our party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) to completely disregard the lies being peddled by a certain section of internal opposition that the polling agents list submitted by the Ogun APC Caretaker Committee led by Chief Yemi Sanusi was rejected by INEC, while that of one Chief Derin Adebiyi, former Chairman of APC was accepted’.

Penpushing further reports that, the statement said, this was far from the truth, explaining that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) wrote to the Caretaker Committee asking for the list of its agents and accepted same from the Committee.

‘Any claim to the contrary is self-delusion. We challenge these elements to publish the letter written to them by INEC asking for their agents’ list. The lie being peddled is even cheeky and cheap, as the truth could be verified with just a call or text message to INEC’.

‘There fake list was not only rejected, the dissolved Derin Adebiyi executives also suffered legal setback. When the action challenging it’s dissolution by the APC National Working Committee was brought up at the Federal High Court Ten, Abuja, was brought up last week, the hearing of the matter was adjourned till March 11, 2019’,Oladunjoye said.

The statement added,’ with the court adjourning to a date after the general elections of February 16 and March 2, 2019, the APC State Caretaker Committee is fully in charge of the elections in Ogun State, and appropriate agencies are fully aware.
