Eid Message: Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria urges Muslims to uphold righteous deeds beyond Ramadan

The Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN), has called on the faithful to sustain the spirit of devotion and righteousness beyond the holy month of Ramadan, as well as uphold righteous deed.

Penpushing reports that the apex regional body for Muslims in the South West made the call in a statement jointly signed by Alhaji Rasaki Oladejo, (President) and Professor Wole Abbas, (Executive Secretary), to commemorate the Eid-el-Fitri celebrations

The statement pointed out that the conclusion of fasting should not mark the end of the spiritual and moral transformation achieved during the sacred month, and emphasized that the virtues of discipline, self-denial, generosity and intensified worship practiced during Ramadan are intended to be a lifelong guide for every believer.

Penpushing further reports that the Islamic body reflecting on the current state of the nation, urged Muslims to continue offering special prayers for peace, security, and economic prosperity in Nigeria.

“As we celebrate this joyous occasion of Eid-el-Fitri, let us remember that the God we served during Ramadan is ever alive to reward our deeds throughout the year’, the statement emphasized.

Penpushing also reports that the Muslim group stressed that by praying that Almighty Allah accepts the fasting and prayers of the Ummah and grants the nation lasting stability.
