Institute of Chartered Secretaries, Administrators inaugurates pioneer Ogun State Executives

The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN) has inaugurated pioneer executives of its Ogun State Chapter, a leading recognized professional body in Nigeria dedicated to enhancing the status and practice of corporate governance and public administration

Penpushing reports that, the executive include: Olubukunola Adebayo(Chairman), Oriyomi Sofowora (Vice Chairman),Gloria Dada(General Secretary), Tayewo Adewunmi (Treasurer) and Wonuola Adekanmbi (Public Relations Officer)

The Institute was established in 1966, the only professional body authorized in Nigeria to conduct the examinations leading to the qualification of chartered secretaries and administrators, and member of the corporate secretaries’ international association, a Geneva registered global organization.

Penpushing further reports that, the association is the global voice of corporate secretaries and governance professionals, and also affiliate member of African Corporate Governance  Network(ACGN),while the topic at the ceremony is, ’The Imperatives of Good Governance: Leveraging Governance Principles’

The sworn-in Chairman in her acceptance speech said the executive is oblivious of heavy responsibilities now devolves on them, adding that, their inauguration was just the beginning part of their mission and assignment

‘A new chapter is like a metaphorical new born baby that must be tendered, nurtured with care from the infancy to the stage of delf susyenance. Thus I am enjoing all of us here , who are by reckoning of history, the foundational members of this chapter to heartily embrace the challenge of nurturing the chapter to maturation’, Adebayo said

Penpushing also reports that, the chairman pointed out that,, it devolves on all the inaugurated executive  to contribute their quota to ensure not only the survival but also the sustainability of the new chapter

‘We cab discharge this  responsibility in multifarious ways which include, prompt payment of the chapter’s annual subscription to enable us plan and execute all our programme through active participation in the chapter’s activities’

‘To serve as the driving force in pursuance of our objectives and through serving as ambassadors of the chapter of larger spheres of our activities, thus helping to project the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria’, she emphassied

Penpushing reports that, notable dignitaries at the occasion include: Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka(former Ogun State Governorship Candidate),Chief Fazzy Yusuf( former Commissioner of Information in Ogun State), Tunde Oladunjoye(Chairman, Board of Ogun State Television) and Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji(Founder, Penpushing media) among others
