Apostle Achudume tasks ogun state journalists on unity

The General Overseer of Victory Life Bible Church(VLBC), Apostle Lawrence Achudume has tasked leadership of Nigeria Union of Journalists(NUJ), Ogun State Council to be above board in discharging their duties.
Penpushing reports that Achudume gave the task while playing host to the executive of the union led by the Chairman, Wale Olanrewaju on Friday at the church headquarters located along Abeokuta-Ajebo road, Abeokuta, Ogun  State Capital.
The clergyman pointed out that journalists as opinion moulders should guard against leadership tussles, and called on the union executives to use their positions to better the lots of the members and make unity,love,as well as oneness their guiding principles.
Penpushing further reports that Achudume noted that leadership crisis  does no nation any good as it hampers socio-economic development  apart  from  making life unbearable for the common man,stressing that it’s therefore, important for those at the helms of affairs in Nigeria to put their differences aside and work for  the overall good  of the country  and as well  put the interest of the masses above selfish gains.
The renowned cleric also speaking on the state of the nation emphasised need for  politicians irrespective  of their  political  ideologies  to understand what it takes to be a good leader, how to be  one and strife to be,and equally urged those at the corridors of power not to use their positions to enrich themselves but to make life better for the poor masses.
Penpushing also reports  that  he stated that political  office  holders are at the seat of power to make postive impacts in the society, adding that,until the nation has a set of leaders who are first responsible for the people who voted them into posts before thinking about their personal gains, the nation will not get better.
 The founder of the globally known church posited that Nigerian leaders have no business in religion stating that some people are using it to divide the nation adding  that the trend  is affecting the overall development of every sector, just as he urged Nigerians to vote based on merit and what individual candidate has to offer and not based on candidate’s religious belief.
Penpushing reports that  Achudume said the step will help the nation to elect credible leaders and not dummies who will use their positions for personal gains.
The Chairman Ogun State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists(NUJ), Wale Olanrewaju in his remarks explained that the visit to the Lead Pastor of  Victory Life Bible Church Int’l was to intimate him about happenings at the council since the new executive came on board, and called for spiritual support and guidance from the cleric.
