Easter: Let us imbibe spirit of love at all time, says Governor Abiodun

The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has called on the State residents and Nigerians at large on need to imbibe the spirit of love and sacrifice, as Christians celebrate the Easter, reminding all, the sacrifice of selfless love Jesus Christ made to the world.
Penpushing reports that, the Governor in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Kunle Somorin, noted that the sacrifice made by Jesus Christ is what everyone enjoys now, hence, the purpose of the celebration of Easter.
The Governor pointed out that Easter is a period for sober reflection and recollection of the ultimate and selfless sacrifice of love which Jesus Christ made on our behalf, and called on citizens to put their hope on God in the face of coronavirus pandemic ravaging the world.
Penpushing further reports that, Abiodun said it is only through love and sacrifice towards the good society that people could uphold the legacy of Jesus Christ for which he stood for during his life time on earth.
‘We require the abundance of love and sacrifice to maintain unity and peaceful co-existence amongst various people in our state for which we have somehow to be known’, said the Governor.
Penpushing also reports that, Abiodun spoke on the ravaging coronavirus, appealing to Nigerians on the importance of the lockdown order introduced by the Federal Government, stressing that is to flatten the spread of the disease, which is also a must sacrifice to be made at this moment to defeat the pandemic.
The Governor emphasized need to avoid high-density of gathering, and to maintain social distancing as prescribed by the medical professionals, as well cooperating with health givers in fighting the ravaging disease.
